Joe Pyfer, weighing 185 pounds, had a huge win at UFC 287 in Miami! His opponent, Gerald Meerschaert, was no match. After only three minutes of fighting, Joe managed to land some punching combinations that caused Gerald to protect himself enough until the fight was ended. Watch Joe’s awesome knockout here!
Pyfer started to take charge of the fight two minutes in and pulled off a powerful left hook that caught Meerschaert off guard. Pyfer didn’t let up and kept firing away, leading to Meerschaert hitting the floor. The referee gave Meerschaert time to rise, but he couldn’t handle any more punches and was saved from the beatdown by the sound of the bell at 3:15.
Pyfer has won both his fights in the UFC since he was signed from the Contender Series by being knocked out in the first round.
Meanwhile, this is only Meerschaert’s second loss in his last six matches and his first knockout defeat since September 2020 when he lost to Khamzat Chimaev.
