“I have shared all the relevant details,” he continued, “and I am optimistic that we can get everything resolved in the near future so I can return to the ring soon.”
Bunes, with a fighting record of 13-6, hails from the Pitbull Brothers in Natal, Brazil, and has emerged victorious in three out of his last four matches, securing his place in the UFC. His only loss was to an overweight Jussier Formiga in February 2022.
Zhumagulov has been reassigned to next week’s UFC match in Jacksonville, Florida, where he will be up against octagon rookie Joshua Van.
