Zhalgas Zhumagulov UFC Exit

Zhalgas Zhumagulov, a competitor in the flyweight division, has been dropped from the UFC roster after his recent contract with the company ended.

MMA Hook received confirmation from UFC officials on Thursday, following the announcement made by the UFC Roster Watch social media account, which uses an algorithm to track changes in the roster.

Zhumagulov’s journey with UFC was characterized by seven fights, in which he managed a 1-6 record. Many of these bouts ended in nail-biting split decisions, which could have easily tipped in his favor. In particular, Zhumagulov’s last three UFC fights against Jeff Molina, Charles Johnson, and most recently, Joshua Van in UFC’s June Jacksonville card, all ended in split decisions.

Before becoming part of the UFC, Zhumagulov boasted an impressive record, achieving victories over recognized opponents such as Tyson Nam, Tagir Ulanbekov, and Ali Bagautinov.

However, he was unable to replicate his previous success in the UFC, with his solitary win achieved through submission against Jerome Rivera back in 2021.

Despite Zhumagulov’s removal from the roster following his contract expiration, there is still a chance the UFC might decide to sign him again. However, as of this moment, a re-signing has not been confirmed.
