UFC President Dana White wanted to stop Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland from fighting after the UFC 287 press conference, but that didn’t work. According to a new report, video showed Masvidal being held back by unknown people. Oren Hodak, Holland’s manager, said his fighter was targeted by “Gamebred” when he was getting ready for UFC 287 – just like during the previous fight everyone heard about.
White wouldn’t answer any questions about what happened when Masvidal angrily cursed at Holland. In response, Holland warned Masvidal to watch his language. This was the end of their quarrel with each other.
Masvidal is set to fight Gilbert Burns for Saturday’s pay-per-view event. On the other hand, Holland is competing against Santiago Ponzinibbio during the same day’s card. However, they have more friction between them than they do with their opponents this week.
Hodak reported that before their second fight, Holland said to Masvidal, “What’s up baby girl?” which is the same thing he told her right before the first fight. Someone else also shouted at Masvidal calling him a “clown”. UFC security were present and kept them apart during the whole incident.
Masvidal wants to win the next fight and break his bad streak of three losses in a row; he lost against two different fighters – Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Holland has also been unlucky lately as he just got beaten by Stephen Thompson and was injured during that fight.
