“Tim Means and Alex Morono Will Defy the Odds at an Upcoming UFC Event”
Two fighters, Tim Means and Alex Morono, will compete against each other in a match in May. They have been booked to fight on the 13th of May at an official UFC event. We still don’t know the exact location yet. MMA Junkie was the first one to announce this big news.
Means (32-14-1, 1 NC) has lost two fights in a row. He didn’t win any matches in 2022. Last June he was beaten by Kevin Holland and then Max Griffin won against him in October when they went up against each other. All together in the UFC, Means has 14 wins, 11 losses, and one no contest.
Morono (22-8, 1 No Contest) had a streak of four wins in a row at the UFC 282 event, but it was broken when Santiago Ponzinibbio beat him by the end of the third round. Since he first joined the UFC back in 2016, Morono has won 11 times and had one No Contest result.
“Summer Showdown
Tim Elliott, who was once a challenger for the UFC flyweight title, is hoping to keep his good run going this summer. He has a fight on June 3 against Allan Nascimento that will be held in an unknown place. This bout was first reported by Ag. Fight
Both fighters have shown success in their recent fights – Elliott has won three out of his past four, and Nascimento has two wins in a row. Elliott did really well at UFC 272, where he beat Tagir Ulanbekov by a decision made by all the judges. In January this year, Nascimento was able to overtake Carlos Hernandez with a submission move.
Frey and Reed Ready for Showdown on June 3rd!
Jinh Yu Frey, a former champion of Invicta FC, and Elise Reed are scheduled to fight on June 3rd. This match was announced by Eurosport.
Frey is looking for a win after losing her last two fights, one of them ending in just 47 seconds! She hasn’t been as successful since joining UFC as she was at Invicta FC with only two wins out of six matches.
Reed is trying to get back on track with winning fights after alternately winning and losing in her first five UFC fights. Her last fight was at UFC 284, where she was defeated by Loma Lookboonmee.
Jimmy Flick and Alessandro Costa Ready for UFC Fight Night on June 17th!
Jimmy Flick is going on a big tour in June! He will be fighting Alessandro Costa in a special competition called “UFC Fight Night”. The event date is already set for the 17th of June, and soon enough we will know where the event is taking place.
This is the second fight for Flick this year. Last December, he made his UFC debut by using a special triangle choke to beat Cody Durden. Then, he shocked everyone and retired from fighting for two years, but came back in January to fight Charles Johnson. Sadly, Johnson beat Flick in the first round of the fight with a knockout punch.
Costa is trying to get a win in UFC after his loss by knockout in his first fight last December. He had won seven fights before that. His team announced that he has a match against Flick coming up on June 17th. There will also be another flyweight bout between fighters Tereza Bleda (6-1) and Gabriella Fernandes (8-2) taking place on the same card.
Ronda Bleda, a 21-year-old fighter from the Czech Republic, didn’t win her first fight in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) this past November. She was defeated by TKO in the third round to Natalia Silva.
Fernandes is also 0-1 in the UFC until now. He had a match against Jasmine Jasduvicius last February and he didn’t succeed, losing by judges’ decision.
The news of Fernandes going against Bleda first appeared on Eurosport.
The Undefeated Tatsuro Taira to Take On Kleydson Rodrigues on June 24!
In June, an undefeated fighter drafted into the UFC named Tatsuro Taira is taking on another fighter called Kleydson Rodrigues in a match that will take place on June 24. The location of this match has not been announced yet.
Taira, who is 23 years old, has had three successful fights in the UFC. His opponents were Jesus Aguilar, CJ Vergara and Carlos Candelario. Taira beat all of them with two getting knocked out and one being forced to submit. Before entering the UFC he was a standout fighter in the Shooto promotion.
Rani Yahya recently scored his first win in his second fight in the UFC. He got this victory when he beat Shannon Ross by stopping him (TKO) after only 59 seconds of fighting at UFC 284. He was spotted and signed up with the UFC’s Contender Series after that he had a successful match against Santo Curatolo earlier this year.
“Yahya Aiming to Reclaim Victory against Jackson in UFC Debut!”
The UFC has just announced two new fights that will be happening soon. The first fight is between Rani Yahya and Montel Jackson, while the second one is between Mohammed Usman and Junior Tafa. These fights are set to take place on April 22 at the UFC APEX event.
Yahya is going to make a comeback in November 2021 after two plans of fighting against Cody Garbrandt were cancelled. He has not lost a fight for three times, resulting in one win, one draw and also one No Contest in UFC matches – this gives him an overall total record of 13-4-1.
Meanwhile, Jackson has been doing quite well lately with six out of seven wins. In his last match at UFC 281, he won by getting all the judges’ decision votes over Julio Arce.
The Yahya-Jackson fight was announced by Jackson’s management, while Usman vs. Tafa was officially announced by the UFC. In April, Usman will be fighting for the first time since August when he won the TV show ‘TUF 30’ with a knockout of Zac Pauga in the second round. He also beat Eduardo Perez and Mitchell Sipe to become champion of the show.
Tafa, who is the brother of Justin Tafa from the UFC heavyweight division, hopes to join UFC soon. He had initially planned to compete against Austen Lane and Waldo Cortes-Acosta but those plans got cancelled. Tafa has previously fought in RIZIN and Brave CF and all his matches ended with a knockout or technical knockout.
