Ante Delija won’t be fighting in April anymore. He was supposed to fight Yorgan de Castro on April 7th, but now Yorgan will fight Denis Goltsov instead. The April event is taking place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, with the main event being between Larissa Pacheco and Julia Budd for the 2022 lightweight champion title.
MMA Fighting reported that Delija got injured, which made him miss the first round of a competition. But, he’s still expected to compete later in the season.
De Castro already won three matches after leaving UFC in 2021. In his most recent fight with former UFC champion Junior dos Santos, De Castro emerged victorious when “Cigano” couldn’t continue due to an injury in his shoulder.
Goltsov (29-7) was supposed to fight Michał Andryszak on the same day. Goltsov has only lost twice in PFL and previously won the ACB championship. Damon Martin wrote a report about all this.
