During the PFL 6 event in Atlanta on Friday night, five fighters stood out as the highest earners, each taking home a payday of $100,000. These salaries marked the conclusion of the 2023 playoffs for the lightweight and welterweight divisions. The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission officially confirmed these earnings in an email sent to MMA Hook on Monday.

Leading the pack was Olivier Aubin-Mercier, the reigning PFL lightweight champion from 2022. He pocketed $100,000 for his knockout victory over Anthony Romero, securing his place in the playoffs once again. Aubin-Mercier remains undefeated in the PFL, boasting an impressive 8-0 record.

Sadibou Sy, the 2022 PFL welterweight titleholder, also took home $100,000 after delivering a remarkable spinning wheel kick knockout against Shane Mitchell. The eye-catching finish sealed his significant payday from the event.

Notably, high-profile free agent signing Shane Burgos also earned $100,000 for his unanimous decision win over Yamato Nishikawa. Initially, Burgos was set to miss the playoffs due to a loss in his first PFL bout. However, the promotion reconsidered and granted him a spot in the final four after suspending former lightweight champion Natan Schulte for a lackluster performance against his longtime friend and teammate, Raush Manfio.

Despite being suspended and excluded from the playoffs, Schulte still walked away with $100,000 for his victory over Manfio. The Georgia commission affirmed that the fight’s outcome would remain unchanged, and both fighters would face no additional penalties.

Finally, Magomed Magomedkerimov earned $100,000 for his triumph over David Zawada, securing his spot in the 2023 playoffs.
