Mark Zuckerberg denies Elon Musk fight claims, mentions UFC and ONE as ideal partners

Mark Zuckerberg has publicly dismissed Elon Musk’s recent assertions, warning people to be skeptical of Musk’s words.

This past Friday, Musk took to Twitter to declare that he had been in talks with Italian officials regarding hosting a billionaire showdown between him and Zuckerberg at the historical Colosseum. Musk also declared that the UFC would not manage the event and has earlier pointed out that his newly rebranded social media platform, “X,” would be the platform for live streaming the duel.

Although Zuckerberg had expressed a willingness to take part in the fight, he had not addressed any of Musk’s declarations until Friday afternoon. At that time, he openly denied Musk’s statements on his social media platform, Threads.

“I am passionate about this sport and have been ready to fight since Elon challenged me,” stated Zuckerberg. “The official date will be announced by me if he ever agrees to it. Until that time, don’t trust what he says as being confirmed.”

While Musk seems to dismiss the UFC’s role in the event, Zuckerberg believes that collaboration with a significant organization like the UFC or ONE Championship is essential.

“I’m not waiting on Elon, but I will announce details about my next fight when I am prepared,” Zuckerberg said. “I intend to compete in a way that highlights the best athletes in the sport. This can be achieved by working with professional organizations such as the UFC or ONE to ensure a successful event and an exciting lineup.”
