Alex Perez won’t have his fight this Saturday.
It turns out he’s having some medical issues so he can’t compete anymore.
But luckily, Daniel Pineda and Tucker Lutz will replace him and they’ll get to fight on the same card instead.
Things haven’t been going well for Perez recently – he’s only had one match in the last year. Before he was supposed to have a fight with Kape, he was scheduled to fight Kai Kara-France at UFC 284, but that got canceled because Kai got injured.
The bad news doesn’t end there either – Perez has also seen fights against Amir Albazi, Askar Askarov, and Matt Schnell fall through too. The latest (and most recent) of these falls happened when they were supposed to fight at UFC 262 in May 2021.
It is not clear if the fight between Perez and Kape will be re-scheduled or if both fighters will have different opponents.
