Jiri Prochazka wants to show Khamzat Chimaev a lesson next time when they spar.
Chimaev said during The MMA Hour on Wednesday that he often beat Prochazka in their practices and even submitted him many times. Prochazka answered back via his Instagram stories the following day.
Prochazka said he needed to talk more about the four-year-old gym information. He promised that when they met again, he would show his true strength and wouldn’t go easy on him. Prochazka also suggested not to talk too much about others and focus more on loving himself. Later, Chimaev responded through his Instagram stories. He sent a message challenging Prochazka for a fight and included both the UFC and Dana White in it.
“Bye for now buddy,” Chimaev said. “Stay awesome. Let’s have our fight in Sweden sometime between June and July.”
Prochazka gave up the light heavyweight title last December after injuring his shoulder before he even got to have a rematch with Glover Teixeria for the belt in UFC 282. During UFC 283 in January, Jamahal Hill won the championship by beating Teixeira.
Recently in September, Khamzat Chimaev had a fight against Kevin Holland. This happened really quickly when he couldn’t make the weight for his match against Nate Diaz. Dana White said that Chimaev will soon face a “top-three” fighter in middleweight division, however Khamzat is also ready to battle at Welterweight, Middleweight or even Light Heavyweight.
