Ion Cutelaba proved that he deserves the reputation of being a great fighter after defeating Tanner Boser in the first round of UFC Kansas City.
After three consecutive losses, Cutelaba was able to come back and knock out Boser with a hard punch and then followed it up with a takedown. As soon as Boser tried to get back up and fight, Ion unleashed a series of punches not allowing him any chance for defense, which led the referee to end the match.
At 2:05 in the first round, Cutela was declared the winner. He was really happy with this win and claimed that all his punches were extremely powerful. He even said that he had a lot riding on this fight and that he felt like ‘Hulk’ is back!
Cutelaba is well-known for his no-holds-barred attitude when it comes to fighting, and he pulled out all the stops against Boser, who was taking part in a UFC fight for the first time at light heavyweight.
Boser seemed confident at the beginning but was cautious due to Cutelaba’s large and powerful punches. Inevitably, Cutelaba eventually struck him with an intense right hand that ended the fight quickly.
Cutelaba had Boser trapped in the cage, and then he started hitting him with several punches. Even though Boser tried to struggle his way out of the situation, Cutelaba kept punching until the referee stopped them.
This was an important victory for Cutelaba as it was his first win since 2021 and it brought Boser’s record down to 1-4 in his past five fights.
