Everyone who was at the AT&T Center wanted to see a good ending, and Nate Landwehr gave them just that!
Landwehr and Austin Lingo faced each other in a featherweight main card fight at UFC San Antonio. Landwehr started to get the upper hand after the first round, landing a takedown and battering Lingo, which resulted in Lingo losing his mouthpiece. This gave Landwehr an opportunity to grab screen’s back and he managed to get a submission win by using a rear-naked choke technique.
Michael Bisping was interviewing Landwehr after his fight and Landwehr said that he had defeated his opponent with a ‘sucker punch rear-naked choke’ move. With this win, it meant that Landwehr has won 3 matches in a row, including a submission over Ludovit Klein and an incredible Fight of the Year candidate decision against David Onama at UFC San Diego last August.
Lingo has had two losses in the octagon since being a professional fighter, but he was winning seven fights all in a row before that.
