Holly Holm is coming back to UFC San Antonio and she’s getting ready to compete for a championship title again. She just signed a new agreement with the UFC.

UFC fighter Holly Holm recently agreed to a six-fight contract extension that will be put into effect before her next match against Yana Santos. Her manager, Lenny Fresquez, told MMA Fighting about the new contract after it had originally been reported in the Albuquerque Journal.

Holly Holm has been in the UFC since 2015, fighting both at bantamweight or featherweight. She became famous for her knockout head kick against Ronda Rousey which led to her becoming the champion at UFC 193. In the past 8 years, she’s fought in 5 title fights and always kept up a strong standing in the top rankings.

Recently, Holly fought really well against Ketlen Vieira but didn’t quite win the match which was a disappointment after her previous two victories against Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington. In October 2020, Holly celebrated her 41st birthday but that hasn’t stopped her from competing for more titles. Her manager has reportedly said that she needs to get one or two more wins before she gets a chance at becoming champion again.

Although Holly Holm has lost a match to reigning UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes, there’s not much competition for her right now. Since July 2022, Nunes hasn’t been seen in action after successfully defending her 135-pound title against Julianna Pena at the UFC 277. This could mean that Holm might just be the perfect contender for Nunes but only after she wins her upcoming fight with Santos this Saturday.
