This is an important fight for Holly Holm who is 41-years old and may be competing for a championship title one last time. Yana Santos has come back to the ring since July 2021 and Jacob Montalvo is the referee in charge.
Santos starts by pushing Holm against the fence. After two minutes go by with nothing major happening, Santos punches and kicks while Holm takes initiative and puts them at the fence again. Then, an elbow from Holm breaks free, followed by front kicks which make Santos stumble and fall to the ground where Holm advances to side control. MMA Fighting scores it as 10-19 favoring Holm as the winner of Round 1.
