Edson Barboza will get lots of rewards by the end of his UFC career.
On Saturday, the 37-year old featherweight fighter got $50,000 for knocking out Billy Quarantillo in the very first round of a game at UFC Kansas City – this was his 11th bonus prize.
Barboza was one of three people who bagged that night’s Performance of the Night bonus prize and altogether, seven fighters got bonus prizes!
Brandon Royval and Gillian Robertson got special bonuses for their wins in the preliminary card. On the other hand, Bill Algeo and T.J. Brown both got $50,000 for their fight in the featherweight category and Bill was victorious with a second-round submission using a choke hold.
On Saturday night, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, there was an event called UFC Kansas City. The main event showed Max Holloway beating Arnold Allen by having everyone agree that he won. After this fight, UFC president Dana White gave $50,000 bonuses to Zak Cummings and Ed Herman who are two fighters that are quitting UFC after years of fighting.
