Dana White has given his take on Conor McGregor’s recent mishap where he unintentionally injured the Miami Heat’s mascot.
When questioned about McGregor’s latest high-profile escapade, White implied that those who invited the ex-double division champion to the court ought to have exercised more caution with “The Notorious.”

McGregor was present halfway through Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Miami’s Kaseya Center, advertising his cryotherapy spray. Dressed in a red tracksuit, he bumped into “Burnie,” the Heat’s mascot, who was equipped with boxing gloves. McGregor delivered a left hook followed by another punch, leaving Burnie sprawled on the court.
Subsequently, it was unveiled that the staged fight led to genuine injuries as the man inside the Burnie outfit was reported to have made a trip to the ER for minor injuries.
McGregor, having recently completed a coaching term on The Ultimate Fighter 31 opposite Michael Chandler, is slated to re-enter the octagon by the end of this year. This will be his first fight since his leg injury at UFC 264 in July 2021.
